Observing the Night Sky

Thick dust clouds block our night-time view of the Milky Way, creating what is sometimes called the Dark Rift

Learners observe the night sky and record their observations in a log book. Learners aim to record: two constellations and their brightest stars, two phases of the moon and three lunar basins or impact craters and two solar system bodies other than the moon.
